The teams faced Cambridge TA in the first league match of phase 3 of this Talent Academy season.
Having lost all 4 matches (U16's and U18's) only 2 weeks ago in the final friendly matches, both BSE TA teams performed very well under pressure.

The girls took an early lead with a goal from Sophie M only for Cambridge to equalise late in the second half, the BSE girls kept the pressure on Cambridge getting close to scoring the winner. The final result 1-1 draw. The BSE TA girls secured an extra point by wining the penalty shoot out which takes place at the end of every league match enabling teams to practise timed penalty shoot outs and the winner to claim an extra point.

The boys had a real thriller, Cambridge TA going ahead in the scoring but the boys digging deep to draw level and having had a few shots on the Cambridge goal towards the end of the match were unlucky not to come out the winner. The boys lost the penalty shoot out 4-5 showing how close the match was.

Definitely a good base for the remaining 4 league matches.
